Strive to be Better
Strive to be Better (coming soon) is a self-improvement book with a difference. Presented in a concise, actionable bulleted style, it avoids the clutter of storytelling and speaks directly to readers who value efficiency and straight-talking.
Productivity books often get bogged down in complex strategies, but Strive to be Better brings simplicity back to productivity.
Who is the Author?
I’m Kae Travis – an ordinary bloke with ordinary problems. My days are typically spent working, spending time with my family, walking our dog, catching up with friends, playing golf or running. I enjoy reading factual content (fiction’s not really my thing – I lack the imagination for it) and gaining insights into how things work.
But after 41 years, I realised something surprising: while I’d spent my life figuring out how “things” work, I’d never stopped to figure out how I work!
The danger of not consciously understanding how we work is that we drift into places we never intended to be. Perhaps we find ourselves stuck in a job we no longer enjoy, surrounded by people who bring out the worst in us, buying things we don’t need to impress others, or slipping into bad habits.
So, I started paying closer attention and began jotting down a few thoughts – simple bullet points to process my ideas, clarify my direction, make marginal improvements and deepen my appreciation of this magnificent existence. And over time, those notes evolved into a book – Strive to be Better!
Why a Bullet-Point Approach?
In a world overloaded with information, the aim of Strive to be Better is to skip the clutter and offer quick insights that readers can apply instantly. Inspired by my own preference for brevity and directness, the book distils concepts like behaviour change, mind management and goal setting into digestible chunks, helping readers focus on the essentials without the overwhelm.
